Hello, I am Brian, Your Host.

Hi, I’m Brian Guiler, the host of Faith. Growth. & Purpose.

I’m not a pastor, theologian, or someone who has the Christian life completely figured out. I’m simply a man learning how to follow Jesus more faithfully, one day at a time.

I didn’t grow up in a church-going family. When I was younger, I believed there was probably a higher power, but I didn’t truly know God. For much of my life, I carried a deep sense that something was missing. I searched for meaning, purpose, and fulfillment, but nothing seemed to fill the emptiness for very long.

I eventually started going to church because of a girl. My reason for walking through those doors may not have been spiritual, but God used it anyway. I began hearing about Jesus, experiencing Christian community, and learning that the emptiness in my life had an answer.

I was baptized, but if I’m honest, I was still mostly going through the motions. I called myself a Christian, but my everyday life did not always reflect someone who had fully surrendered to Christ. Over time, life became busy, work became exhausting, and I slowly drifted away. I became physically disconnected from church, my prayer life weakened, and my Bible spent far too long collecting dust.

Today, I’m finding my way back.

I’m opening God’s Word again, praying honestly again, and learning what it means to make Jesus the center of my life. I’m still battling addictions, habits, fear, doubt, and the consequences of choices I’ve made. I don’t share those things for attention or sympathy. I share them because I believe honesty can help people realize they are not alone.

For years, I wondered what my purpose was. I kept asking whether there had to be more to life than working, paying bills, surviving the week, and repeating the same routine. I still don’t know every detail of God’s plan for me, but I believe Faith. Growth. & Purpose may be one of the ways He is calling me to use my story.

I didn’t start this podcast to chase followers, attention, or recognition. I started it because I felt God nudging me to be open, real, and willing to talk about the parts of faith that are often hidden. The struggles. The setbacks. The questions. The slow growth. The moments when trusting God feels difficult but necessary.

My goal is not to speak above the listener. I want to walk beside them.

Through this podcast, I share personal stories, biblical lessons, honest reflections, and practical encouragement for everyday life. We talk about faith, addiction, purpose, prayer, church, stewardship, perseverance, forgiveness, spiritual discipline, and what it means to keep following Jesus when life does not look perfect.

I’m still growing little by little. Some days I take strong steps forward. Other days I stumble. But I’m learning that following Jesus is not about pretending to be perfect. It is about continuing to return to Him, surrendering more of my life, and trusting His grace through every season.

My prayer is that my story encourages someone else to open their Bible again, return to church, ask God for help, confront what has been controlling them, or believe that their life still has purpose.

I’m grateful you’re here.

You don’t have to have everything figured out to walk this journey with me.

We can grow in faith, discover God’s purpose, and learn to trust Jesus together.

Real Life. Real Struggles. Real Faith.
